Unforgettable

Hole #8 is a beautiful par 3 that plays 175 yards from the blue tees. If the yardage isn't enough, there's water around three sides of the green. Deep faced bunkers abound for shots that don't quite have enough on them. With beautiful fountains, flowers and breathtaking views of Mt. Bachelor you'll be mesmerized by this enchanting hole.

Tester

A hole of strategy is #18. This 416 yard par 4 has a large lake that defines the left side of the fairway, giving the golfer the option to carry the dogleg left leaving a short pitch. A lake on the other side of the fairway will capture any shots that are too strong. The safe play is to play short of the big pine tree to the left of the fairway with an iron, or past the pine with a driver or fairway wood. Aim right of that pine. This leaves a medium to short iron for the second shot into a green surrounded by water and sand.

Directions

From Hwy 97 take Cottonwood exit. Follow signs to course. In Sunriver, between circle 6 & 9.

How can learning balance and hooking the ball help my game? - John Noack

Balance is probably one of the two most important things in a golf swing. The other is grip. When a golfer learns proper balance they can learn to work the ball from right to left or left to right. Hit it high or low on demand. When a swing is balanced properly there are few moving parts, and that makes for a repeating swing. Learning to hook the ball is very important. So many players can only hit it with a fade or slice. The only time as hook comes out is when they "double cross" and go dead left. Learning to hook the ball will give you a better sense of confidence in those tricky situations. It will open up the left side of the fairway, give you more distance off the tee and ultimately it will lower your scores.
