Unforgettable

The Cupp course features a 43,000 square foot bent grass "triple green" that is shared by the 600 yd. Par 5 #8, the 520 yd. Par 5 #10 and the 450 yd. Par 4 #17. The 17th is an awesome hole with rough on the left. If you hit it too far off the tee you'll hit it into a creek that runs up the left side. If the tight fairway isn't hard enough to hit, the green is even tougher when the pin is on the left front, and you're coming in with a long iron.

Tester

The seemingly simple 340 yard par 4 13th requires a 200 yard carry to a narrow and well guarded fairway. On paper this hole seems to be a birdie hole, but hole #13 yields more bogeys and double than most holes of similar length. The fun begins once you reach the green.

Directions

From downtown Portland take Hwy #26 west to Cornelius Pass Road Exit. Turn right (south) back over the freeway. Turn right (west) on Tualatin Valley Hwy #8. Turn left (south) on SW 229th Ave. The Reserve is on the right side - approximately 1 mile in.

The Cupp course at The Reserve is beautiful and extremely unique. With a great mix of short and long holes, the "Cupp" course allows you to use every club in the bag. Although it lacks trees and bunkers, its rolling mounds, expansive green surroundings and enormous bent grass greens provide more than enough challenge for players of all abilities.

What is a good book that every golfer should read? - Jeff Shaw

The Rules of Golf is one book that every golfer needs to read. First, read the inside front cover on how to use the book, then apply the rules to your game. Knowing the rules of golf can enhance your enjoyment the game. Another area golfers should be concerned with is etiquette. Remember, golf is a gentlemen's game. We all need to have respect for other golfers and everybody will have a greater appreciation for the game of golf.
