Unforgettable

The 13th hole stands out as unique because of its beautiful elevated 3 tier tee. A 70 foot fir tree comes into play on the right side of the fairway for all tee shots. The player has the option of a wedge over the tree to the middle or a safer shot to the left with danger lurking if you miss left or long, due to the slope that moves away from the green.

Tester

When the challenge of a 70 foot tree on #13 has been solved, watch out for hole #14. Your shot needs to be high and stiff to hold this green. Otherwise you'll find a short low shot running down the slope into "Lost Dog Creek ". The safe play is out to the right playing the bounce toward the green.

Directions

From Portland take I-5 south to I-205 toward Oregon City. The first exit is Stafford Road/Lake Oswego. Go north on Stafford Road. Continue 2.5 miles to course located on left.

Lake Oswego Golf Course is snuggled in the hills of Lake Oswego. This 2,695 yard golf course features lush foliage and "postage stamp greens". This 18 hole, par 54 executive length golf course is an excellent challenge for your short game. Golfers may also enjoy year-round practice on the covered, lit and heated driving range.

How do you feel is the best way to learn the game? - John Welsh

Professional golfers agree golfers should learn the game from the putting green back to the tee. Lake Oswego is a great course for this reason. When a beginning golfer plays the longer course I suggest the player move up closer to the green. Try teeing off from the 150 yard marker or the 200 yard marker. This will improve your golf enjoyment.
